Lessons from the last session: Taking Flight

4 months back I was scrolling down my Facebook Newsfeed where I found about an institution providing Fellowship, as the COVID-19 already affected our studies so I thought why to waste time when there are institutions like Amal Academy are there providing Fellowship. After researching the Amal Academy, I found it very much similar to the areas that I’m lacking in. That’s how my journey started with Amal Academy.

My Experience with Amal Academy was very special and will always remain very special. Amal Academy taught me so many Practical things which are lacking in our so-called Education system. Pakistan Education system only emphasis Theory and that’s why we’re so behind from our neighbor countries.

How did the session help you think about what you want to do going forward? What did you enjoy the most about this day?

The last session was very special, at the end of 3 months of Fellowship we’ve to make a Mega Project. Our whole class was divided into 6 groups. Everyone comes up with their ideas and present their ideas in front of External Assessors. Each and every group was praised by Accessors as everyone has put their 100% effort into completing the Project. I enjoyed every presentation and the unique ideas of my fellows.

What was it like to just talk and connect? Do you think it is important to connect and do things just for your emotional uplift sometimes, even without a focus on work? How do you plan on keeping in touch with your Amal Family going forward?

Yes that's true sometimes you just have to accept that leaving a Platform where you’ve been treated like a family throughout the Fellowship make you Emotional, and yes I was very emotional at the time when Miss Sahar said “So that’s it, guys, I hope you’ve learned a lot from us and we really wish you best of luck” I was like I’m losing a beautiful Family after 3 months it was really hard for me to stay calm and not show my emotions during the last session.

Well for connecting with my fellows we’ve already shared our social media platforms where we’re connected and I hope we’ll reach out to each other if we need any help.

Similarly, we’re planning to take our Mega Project Idea into the Entrepreneurship side for that we especially our Circle 6 members are arranging a meetup soon in Peshawar at my place where we’ll decide how to take further steps.

How do you intend to use what you learned in this fellowship in your future life?

I cannot count how many things I’ve learned from this Fellowship. Most importantly I’ve achieved 60% of my SMART GOALS which was identified during Project Work 3 of the fellowship. Similarly, due to Project Work 11, I’m now working on my Curiosities and searching for a particular platform where I can work on my Curiosities.

In the End, Thank you so much Amal Academy.
